Full Review

Princess is for women who want to smell like expensive candy without looking juvenile. This is Kilian's take on the sweet-but-sophisticated gourmand, opening with a sharp rhubarb bite that immediately softens into pillowy marshmallow and green tea. It's the kind of fragrance that makes strangers ask what you're wearing, though whether that's good or bad depends on your tolerance for standing out. The opening hour is all tart-sweet contrast, like biting into a perfectly caramelized rhubarb tart. The marshmallow isn't cloying thanks to the green tea's subtle bitterness, and there's enough sophistication in the base woods to keep it from reading as pure dessert. Performance is solid at 7-8 hours with moderate projection for the first 3-4 hours, then it sits closer to skin as a sweet, slightly powdery skin scent. The problem is the price point. At $250+ for 50ml, you're paying serious luxury money for what's essentially a very well-executed novelty fragrance. It's beautifully blended and the marshmallow note is probably the best you'll find anywhere, but the composition isn't complex enough to justify Kilian's premium positioning. This works best in cooler weather when the sweetness won't become overwhelming, and it's definitely a statement piece rather than a daily driver. Sample first because the polarizing opening either clicks immediately or feels like expensive Play-Doh.
